Kwame Nkrumah was born on Saturday,12th September,1909 to Opanin Kofi Ngonloma who was a gold smith.His mother was Elizabeth Nyaniba.He was born at Nkruful in the Western Religion of Ghana.
In 1958,he married an Egyptian called Helena Rita Fathia who was bare him three children.
In 1971,he attended roman Catholic primary and middle school at half Assin.He went to Accra Government Training College,now known as Accra Achimota secondary school 1927.In 1931,he became the a teacher.He left for American to study in 1935.
Dr.Nkrumah attended two universities for batchelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology.He studied in MSC sociology education, University of Pennsylvania from 1935-1942.In 1942 he was honoured with doctorate in lawat Lincoln university.
Dr.Nkrumah was very intelligent,brave and hardworking man who worked with all the classes of people,he was a good organizer.These qualities made him a popular leader in Ghana up to 1966.
