Inter Milan secures a spot in the 2023 Champions League Finals surpassing AC Milan in a nail-biting encounter

In the highly spirited semi-final clash between the two Milan giants, it was Inter who came out on top with a 2-1 victory over their fierce rivals. The game had everything – intense tackles, sublime goals and drama until the last minute. 

Inter Milan started the game as the stronger team and displayed some scintillating attacking football which troubled AC Milan's defense. Their efforts were finally rewarded in the 25th minute when Lautaro Martinez scored a well-placed header from a cross by Nicolò Barella. The Nerazzurri seemed to have taken complete control of the game, but AC Milan wasn't going to give up without a fight.

The Rossoneri came back aggressively in the second half and made some tactical changes that immediately paid dividends. In the 60th minute, Franck Kessie's shot which was deflected off Stefan de Vrij saw the ball sailing past Inter's goalkeeper, handing AC Milan the equalizer. 

However, this was short-lived joy for AC Milan. Barely ten minutes later, Inter Milan came roaring back to take the lead once again when Ashley Young's cross was beautifully headed into the back of the net by Romelu Lukaku. 

The rest of the game saw both teams playing with their hearts on their sleeves, but it was Inter's defense that stood firm and denied AC Milan any chance to equalize. In the end, Inter Milan emerged victorious and booked their place in the finals.
